How does Tribute work?
Tribute combines the selective and systemic actions of MCPA, mecoprop-p and dicamba, all of which are easily absorbed through the leaves of the plant and translocated through to the roots, ensuring greater control. The dicamba provides improved control of deep-rooted weeds such as dandelions
How should Tribute be applied?
Tribute should be mixed with water and applied using a hand-held knapsack sprayer or vehicle mounted sprayer.
The best time to apply Tribute is when the weeds are actively growing, from April to late September. Better control of annual biennial weeds is obtained if sprayed early in the growing season. Perennial weeds should be sprayed when they are well developed and before flowering.
Application Rates
For control of common weeds - white clover, plantains, daisy, creeping buttercup, thistles
Knapsack spray application: 60mls in 4.5 litres to treat 100m2
For control of more difficult weeds, including yarrow, ragwort, parsley piert*, cinquefoil, trefoils, mouse-eared chickweed, selfheal, pearlwort*, sorrel, blackmedick*, dandelion and related weeds, bulbous buttercup.
Knapsack sprayer application: 80mls in 4.5 litres to treat 100m2
Watering can application: 8mls in 4.5 litres to treat 10m2
*Only weeds up to four true leaves and aerial growth will be checked.
Note: Speedwells are resistant to Tribute
Where can I use Tribute?
Tribute is a selective herbicide for the control of broad-leaved weeds on sports turf, amenity turf and lawns. It is highly effective against difficult to control weeds, such as yarrow, ragwort, trefoil, bulbous buttercup, dandelion and sorrel.
