Progreen will shortly receive Asulox stocks for 2014 for the control of bracken.

Unfortunately the manufacturers have decided not to use 5ltr bottles sizes so all stocks are in 20ltr.

KEY DATES FOR USING ASULOX – under the  rules of the Emergency Authorisation

19th May 2014 Asulox becomes available for sale
End of June Supplies of Asulox ready to despatch
1st July 2014 Asulox can be applied from this date
16th September 2014 Last date for purchasing Asulox
31st October 2014 Last day of use *

The dates above are a legal requirement under the terms of the EU Authorisation for the use of Asulox

* NB: Any unused/ unopened bottles must be returned to the supplier BEFORE this date. (Last date for returning unopened bottles to the supplier is 16th Oct 2014)

Use of Asulox:

  • Apply when the plant is in full frond and green – before the onset of senescence (yellowing)
  • Asulox may be applied by knapsack – ideally knee-waist high
  • Only one application may be made per year
  • Livestock exclusion from treated areas is 14 days after application
  • Use on docks (rumex spp.) and in hand-held applicators, such as a  weedwiper, is no longer supported on the label
