BASIS Accreditations Reconfirmed

BASIS Accreditations Reconfirmed

We are delighted to announce that the Progreen Technical Advice Team have once again all had their BASIS certifications re-confirmed for this year! Alongside this many members of the team are also accredited with their FACTS renewal.

What are BASIS and FACTS Certifications?

BASIS

Being BASIS accredited is very important for our technical team. It shows that our team members have a high level of competence in the technical advice that they give. BASIS are essentially a governing body who ensure that those who are accredited and registered with them are putting the correct guidance out there which in turn helps to reassure you as customers that we are doing the best that we can.

The team, as part of their BASIS qualification, are qualified to offer advice in a full range of areas including amenity horticulture to agricultural and commercial horticultural situations plus having specialist knowledge on invasive and injurious weeds such as Japanese knotweed & ragwort.

FACTS

FACTS stands for Fertiliser Advisers Certification and Training Scheme. With this qualification our team members are able to help you with any queries you have regarding soil in relations to plant nutrition, the use of fertilisers and how to apply them, plus interpreting laboratory soil analysis results.

Why do these accreditations need to be renewed each year?

BASIS and FACTS accreditations need to be renewed every year. This is due to the fact that guidance and restrictions are constantly changing so it just makes sure that each person who has the accreditation is aware of changes and is not giving out of date information. It also gives assurance to the customers that we are advising that they are getting the best and most up-to-date advice for the problem that they have.

How does this benefit our customers?

As a result of our team members having these accreditations, it means that we are able to give our customers outstanding and up to date technical advice whenever they ring or email us with a query. Having this free expert technical guidance available to you gives you the advantage to deal with problems in the correct way.
