ProGreen Director Elected On To Amenity Forum Committee

At ProGreen, we are delighted to announce that Louise, one of our directors, has been voted onto the Amenity Forum committee. This is extremely exciting news and we know that Louise will be a great addition to their committee.

After the election Louise said “I am really pleased to have been given the honour of joining the Amenity Forum Committee. It is vital that we have a joined up body to enable us to have a level playing field, if you excuse the pun, for the Amenity Industry and all those involved… I am looking forward to working as part of the Amenity Forum Committee ensuring our industry is fairly represented in all areas that affect us such as training, products and public education”.

The Amenity Forum is an industry led voluntary initiative for the promotion of good practice when using pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, algaecides and other products used for the control of pests and disease within the amenity sector. The Forum itself has many different objectives which they seek to deliver by offering guidance, events, their highly regarded conference and many other methods. Here are a few of their key objectives:

  • To be a the collective body representing the amenity sector
  • To encourage “best practice” in relation to weed, pest and disease management
  • To encourage and coordinate training and CPD activity
