Supply Chain Issues Update
There have been price increases and supply shortages across many products in the ground care and amenity sector over recent months. Despite this, at ProGreen we still have good stocks of the majority of our products and are able to let our customers have the chance to stock up on the products that they need throughout winter and into the spring months.
Glyphosate
You may have heard that glyphosate stocks across the country are extremely limited with many companies already being out of stock on all product ranges. ProGreen, however, still has availability on 3 of our main glyphosate weed killers.

- Roundup ProVantage 5L High Strength Glyphosate – Amenity approved
- Gallup Hi-Aktiv Amenity Glyphosate 5L – High strength – Suitable for amenity situations
Paddock Fertiliser
The cost of many fertilisers containing high nitrogen are going up as a result of world events that have impacted the availability of certain active ingredients. Thankfully we are still offering these fertilisers at 2021 prices but it is advised to buy now to avoid the upcoming price increases.
- Tiger Paddock Slow Release Fertiliser 25KG (16-4-4) with Sulphur
- Tiger Boost Fertiliser 25KG (21-0-5.5)
- Paddock Royale 25KG (12-11-18) – Balanced horse paddock fertiliser
- Elixir Supreme (12-11-18) – Paddock fertiliser with extra sulphur
- Perlka (19.8-0-0) – Slow release nitrogen & lime fertiliser – Available in 25KG and 600KG bags
- Calcifert Lime Granules – Reduces soil acidity – Available in 25KG and 600KG quantities
Softwash
Another active ingredient affected by shortages is DDAC. DDAC is used in many softwashing chemicals such as AlgoClear and Mac Hi Power. Thankfully at ProGreen we have good stocks of our popular softwashing solutions including 200L drums of Mac Hi Power! These stocks are likely to tighten once we reach 2022 with larger quantities potentially being scarcer even sooner so if you are in need make sure you stock up now.

Equipment
Vast quantities of equipment are shipped from Europe which, following Brexit and other world events, has made shipments and obtaining stock difficult. We do still have a good range of equipment available however we would advise to purchase what you will need for the next season now in order to avoid disappointment come spring.

Selective Weed Killers
At ProGreen we have good stock of all of our selective weed killers however, due to the recent shortages across other ranges, suppliers/manufacturers have warned us that they are unsure what to expect once we reach spring 2022. As a result if there are products that you know you will need, again stock up whilst you can.

Annual Lawn Care Packages
Our annual lawn care packages are a great solution to the current issues revolving around upcoming price increases and product shortages. After purchasing a lawn care programme, you will be provided with a supply of fertiliser, weed control and moss control for your lawn that has applications timed for spring, summer and autumn covering you for the whole year. Purchasing these programmes now will allow you to be covered for the entirety of 2022 for all of your lawn care needs while only having to pay current 2021 prices.
