Caterpillar Killers and Control

The larvae stage of moth and butterfly species are referred to as caterpillars. Caterpillars like to damage leaves, stems and roots. They come in all shapes and sizes and there are hundreds of different types, some more damaging than others. Caterpillar eggs are typically found on the undersides of leaves of plants. There sometimes can be singular or there can be multiple eggs.

Biological caterpillar killer is good at controlling caterpillars due to not harming other insects as it contains the microorganism Bacillus Thuringiensis. Dipel and Bruco are non-toxic to pollinators and other beneficial insects.

Caterpillar Killer Products

ProGreen offers biological insecticides such as Bruco and Dipel to control caterpillars in soft fruits, box hedging, forestry, amenity vegetation, vegetables and trees. Both these caterpillar killers and control products will lead to stopping the caterpillars feeding within hours of application and kill them.

These caterpillar killer products work by simply being sprayed on to foliar portions of the plant where the insect is feeding. Once it has dried on the leaf, it will be ingested and will give control in 24-72 hours.
