- Mogeton is restricted to use on golf course tees and greens only
Directions for use and application rates
Grassed areas
- For use against various types of moss: 1.5 g/m² (15 kg/ha) applied by watering on the infested areas
- Volume of water: application by watering: 1 L/m² (10,000 L/ha)
- One treatment can be carried out per season between May and August
- Carry out the treatment after the emergence of moss, when it is actively growing (ideally May to August)
- When applying Mogeton it is better if the sky is overcast and there is high humidity but not raining
- Do not apply to grass that is under a year old
- Grass and grass clippings should not be used for animal feed during the year of treatment
Application
- Mogetons effectiveness is improved in warm humid conditions. If it is cold and dry the effectiveness will be delayed but the final control will not be affected
- Fill a watering can with half the required amount of water
- Add and mix Mogeton then top-up with the remaining water required
- Make sure that the moss gets a good soaking to ensure that the treatment is successful
- A minimimum application volume of 1 L/m2 (10,000 L/ha) MUST be followed
- Watering cans must be fitted with a dribble bar or fine droplet rose head
- Only treat infested areas of grass
Special precautions:
- When preparing avoid over-filling your watering can
- Do not pour any remaining product into drains, make sure it is applied to treated areas
- Do not treat areas that are near to drains, or on a slope or where product could leach into water sources
- When treating managed amenity turf (golf course tees and greens only), do not apply within 20m of static or flowing water bodies.
- To protect aquatic organisms respect an unsprayed buffer zone to surface water bodies in line
- Mogeton must not be applied to impermeable surfaces
- After treatment make sure the area is completely dry before re-entering it
- Application equipment should be cleaned throughly after use (fill it with enough water to effectively rinse the interior)by swilling the watering can. Make sure that you include the lid, stem and rose prior to storage or use on other plants. Dispose of washings on areas of grass that have not been treated with Mogeton
