Rodenticides work to kill rats and mice. They are formulated in many ways but the most common types come as rat and mice bait in the form of treated wheat, wax blocks and high energy pasta & pellets. They are often referred to as rat poison.
Rodenticide changes - new regulations effective from 1st March 2018.
Amateur pack sizes will be restricted and the previous strength rodenticides will no longer be available to amateur users. Under the new classifications the bait concentration will be reduced from 50ppm to 25ppm.
Previously the maximum pack size for amateur users was 1.5kg but in line with the changes to the bait concentration, the maximum pack size has been reduced.
From 1st March 2018 the maximum pack size for block bait will be 300g, and 150g for wheat / pasta / pellet bait.
If you need to buy quantities larger than this you will require rodenticide certification. Visit Rodent Control Training for more information on rodenticide certification.
Please note: Quantities over 300g for block bait / 150g for wheat / pasta / pellet bait are "To be used only by professional users holding certification demonstrating compliance with UK rodenticide stewardship regime requirements".
Prior to shipping professional quantities we must have a copy of the certificate. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
