Rodenticides work to kill rats and mice.  Traditionally called rat poison or rat and mouse bait , they are available in the form of treated wheat, pasta paste or wax blocks.

Changes in regulations - From March 2018, anyone wishing to purchase or use over 300g of block or 150g of wheat based rodenticides must possess a certificate of competence for rodenticide use.
