Useful option to tank mix with other herbicides eg PastureMaster or Thrust to broaden weed spectrum and supercharge effect on some tricky weeds.
Key points:
- Apply through a boom sprayer
- Ensure weeds to be sprayed have sufficient leaf cover
- Controls Chickweed in newly sown leys
- Docks & nettles are best treated pre-flowering
- Cleavers can be treated at all stages of growth
- Suitable for; cereals, grassland and maize crops
Application notes and guidance:
- Apply as a medium quality spray (BCPC)
- Do not roll or harrow ground for seven days before or after spraying
- Spray grassland with water volumes between 200-400 L/ha
- Do not sow peas, beans, clovers or any other legume for 12 months on land treated with Hurler
Tank Mix:
- Suitable for tank mixing with different selective products
- With PastureMaster for boom sprayers combine 0.5L Hurler with 2.5L of PastureMaster in 200-400 L water to cover 10,000m2
- With Thrust for boom sprayers combine 1.0L of Hurler with 2.5 L of Thrust in 200-400L of water to cover 10,000m2
- With Thrust for knapsack sprayers combine 80ml of Hurler with 200ml of Thrust in 20L of water to cover 500m2
- Do NOT tank mix when spraying at the full rate (2 L/ ha: Grassland)
- Read tank mix instructions carefully on the bottle & the tank mix product
- Add Hurler to the tank first.
Growing Conditions:
Best results are achieved against small weeds growing actively under warm, moist conditions; these conditions are particularly important for the control of cleavers. Ensure that crops are vigorous with growth unaffected by frost, pests, disease, nutrient deficiency or moisture stress before treatment. Do not treat waterlogged crops or crops under drought stress

HAND-HELD APPLICATION RATE
Established Grassland |
30 ml product per 10 L water |
Pre-flowering weeds: Broad-leaved dock. Common Nettle (reduction of top-growth). Broad-leaved dock normally in spring at the rosette stage, but may be applied 14-21 days after cutting when the weed foliage has regrown. Repeat if necessary the following year. Common nettle - up to mid-June when actively growing. |
BOOMSPRAY APPLICATION RATE
Established Grassland |
2 L/ha in 300 - 400 L/ha water |
Pre-flowering weeds: Broad-leaved dock. Common Nettle (reduction of top-growth). Broad-leaved dock normally in spring at the rosette stage, but may be applied 14-21 days after cutting when the weed foliage has regrown. Repeat if neccessary the following year. Common nettle - up to mid-june when actively growing. |
Established Grassland |
2 L/ha in 300 - 400 L/ha water |
Bramble, Broom: Spray in June-August when actively growing but before plant begins to senescence in the Autumn. It is essential that, particularly with large bushes, all the foliage is thoroughly wetted or incomplete kill may result |
Newly Sown Grass Leys |
0.75 L/ha |
Common Chickweed (to 5cm): In early autumn when the grasses are firmly established and are tillering and the weeds are growing actively |
For grassland apply as a MEDIUM spray at 2-2.5 bar by conventional hydraulic ground-operated sprayer in 200-400 l/ha, using a minimum 300 l/ha on established grassland, to give good coverage of the target weeds. Use the higher spray volume for application in dense crops or when weeds are large. When overall spraying is not justified, small weed infested areas or individual weeds may conveniently be spot treated by knapsack sprayer or hand lance connected to a powered conventional hydraulic sprayer. Preferably use a flood jet to avoid spray drift. Spray to just wet the weed foliage evenly but before run-off occurs
