Our PA6 Pesticide Training program covers the use of a pedestrian hand held sprayer, allowing you to apply pesticides through a knapsack sprayer on land and in and around water.

It is important to note that PA2 and PA6 offer calibration training to ensure that operators can accurately determine the proper dilution rate from the label and calculate the correct application for the specific spraying area.

It is important to note that to do any course, you must complete a PA1 first, Different courses include:

PA1+PA6a/aw = Handheld application (knapsacks)
PA1+PA2a = Vehicle-mounted application (quad bike, tractor)
PA1 + PA5 = Boat-mounted spraying

Depending on what you are looking to achieve, there is an array of different pesticide training courses which provide certification for different levels. It also depends on what means you would like to use pesticides or herbicides, whether it is on a vehicle or as a hand held sprayer, there are different courses you can take to meet your needs.

The training and exams for PA1 are conducted online. Whereas, PA6 and PA2 involve in-person training, with one day spent in the classroom and a 2-hour assessment following it. Other courses have different time frames.

Our courses are conducted in a traditional face-to-face format and take place over the course of one day. These intensive sessions provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the material covered, allowing for in-depth discussions and hands-on learning experiences. Following the completion of each course, participants are required to sit for an exam to assess their understanding and retention of the material.

In contrast, our other pesticide courses vary in terms of their duration and format. Certain courses may be offered in an online format, providing participants with the flexibility to complete the material at their own pace.

The cost of these courses varies depending on the training. Price ranges anywhere between £90 to £1,000 all including VAT.* There are also refresher courses for qualified users to stay up to date with recent developments. Refreshers tend to be on the lower-priced course list.
