A natural wetting agent is extracted from Yucca Schidigera which grows in the extreme climates of Mexico. It is uniquely high in steroid saponins; making it a biostimulant and natural wetting agent all at the same time. The product is specially formulated to mix with a vast array of products and is suitable for foliar, soil and seed treatment applications.
How does BioActive Yucca Wetting Agent it work?
Saponins have an amphiphilic structure; these are compounds with a hydrophilic and a lipophilic group. This enables saponins to reduce the surface tension of the water. Enabling a larger surface area of contact between the agent and the leaf. This reduction in surface water tension also greatly increases the effectiveness of water penetration through the soil profile. The use of different rates of our natural wetter can move surface water away from the playing surface in times of too much water, or move water to the root zone in times of drought stress.
Furthermore, the carbohydrate profile of our yucca wetting agent provides a slow- release food source for beneficial microbes to maintain and develop the health of your root zone.
