Elixir Supreme Balanced Paddock Fertiliser

Elixir Supreme is a balanced paddock fertiliser with an NPK ratio of 12-11-18 and an impressive 35% Sulphur content (nearly twice that of Paddock Royale). It is a fantastic paddock fertiliser with essential trace elements to promote healthy horse and pony grazing.

The homogenous prills of this compound fertiliser all have the same shape and nutrient content and are ideal for accurate and uniform spreading. All the nitrogen is supplied in the ammoniacal form which provides a gradual release of nitrogen with the help of soil bacteria. The high sulphur content suits the needs of most of the UK.

Elixir Supreme addresses the needs of horse owners who are concerned about lush grass growth and over rich grazing as it contains only 12% nitrogen which gives stewady grass growth but avoids over-rich pastures.' Elixir's range of trace elements also help with animal health. Magnesium helps with bone growth in association with calcium and phosphate metabolism. Sulphur and zinc also help with skin and hoof health.

Ideal usage: Horse & pony grazed paddocks, Grassland for hay / silage production, Amenity Turf, Trees & conifers (inc. Christmas Trees), and most vegetables.

Soil Analysis

Although Elixir Supreme will address a paddock's fertiliser requirement, we also recommend paddock owners undertake a Paddock Soil Analysis, to measure the exact nutrient content of the soil. This inexpensive, mail-order soils sample test allows our qualified experts to highlight any nutrient over or under supply that affects grass growth or animal health. We often recommend the use of less fertiliser than expected, but instead target a missing nutrient that limits paddock potential.

Application Rates

HORSE & PONY PADDOCKS

• Apply 4 x 25kg bags per acre in late March / April.
• Allow 10 days before grazing, or until the prills have dissolved and are no longer visible.
• If required a second application can be used in August / September at 2 x 25kg bags per acre to promote late season grazing.
• Avoid application in hot dry conditions.

GRASS FOR HAY & SILAGE

• 8 x 25kg bag per acre mid April / May

AMENITY TURF

• 25 - 25g per m2 (4 - 5.5 x 25kg bags per acre)
• From April - October at 3 / 4 week intervals (irrigate if available)

TREES & CONIFERS (Inc. CHRISTMAS TREES)

• 1-3 year old trees: 25 - 40g per m2 (250 - 400kg /ha)
• 4 year and older trees: 40 - 60g per m2 (400 - 600kg /ha)
• Applied as a Spring top dressing.

Pasture Management

Divide your grazing area into two. Fertilise and allow the first area to recover, whilst grazing the other.
