Roundup ProVantage is a high-strength professional total weed killer containing 480 g/L of glyphosate, designed for fast, effective, and broad-spectrum weed control.

Roundup ProVantage is approved for professional use in a wide range of environments, including:

When to use Roundup ProVantage:

Generally, you can use this product from March-October when weeds start to become present. Some more advice:

  • Annual weeds: Apply when actively growing; rain fast in 1 hour.
  • Perennial weeds: Apply at flowering or before dieback; rain fast in 4 hours.
  • Bracken: Treat once fronds are fully open, before turning yellow in late summer.
  • Aquatic weeds: Best treated August to September.
  • Japanese Knotweed: Best controlled during active growth via foliar spray, stem injection, stem filling, or hand-held weedwiper.

Applications should be timed to coincide with active plant growth and dry weather for maximum absorption.

For best results, follow these guidelines:

  • Knapsack Sprayer: Apply at no more than 2 bar pressure; typical delivery is 10 L spray solution per 500 m²
  • Rotary Atomiser: Apply using a droplet diameter of at least 200 microns at 10–40 L/ha
  • Low Volume (VLV) Nozzles: Apply 10 L/1,000 m² (100 L/ha) at 1.5 bar pressure
  • Use with TopFilm when treating aquatic weeds for enhanced performance
  • Always wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection (as per MSDS)

For aquatic use, consult the Environment Agency guidance and Environment Agency agreement to use herbicides in or near water form prior to application.

After applying RoundUp ProVantage 480 Concentrated Glyphosate Total Weed Killer, avoid disturbing the treated area to allow the product to work effectively. Monitor the site over the next few weeks and only re‑treat if fresh growth appears. Rinse application equipment thoroughly with a suitable tank cleaner and dispose of washings safely on treated ground. Keep pets and people away from the area until foliage has dried.
