A Vegetable Soil Analysis is the ideal way to understand exactly what your vegetable plot needs to produce healthy, productive crops. Professional soil testing UK services provide a detailed picture of your soil's pH and nutrient levels, helping you make informed decisions that can improve plant health, maximise yields, and reduce unnecessary input costs.
Knowing the condition of your soil before applying fertilisers or soil amendments is essential. Through accurate Soil Testing UK, you can identify nutrient deficiencies, pH imbalances, and areas for improvement, allowing you to target applications precisely where they're needed. This not only helps optimise crop growth but can also save time and money by avoiding unnecessary treatments.
Every analysis is individually reviewed by our in-house fertiliser specialists, who produce a tailored report based on your results. Once your report is complete, we'll send it to you and discuss the findings, helping you understand the results and any recommended actions to achieve the best possible performance from your vegetable plot.
How does a Vegetable Soil Analysis work?
Once you've placed your order for Soil Testing UK, we'll send you a soil sample bag and a pre-paid, addressed return envelope.
Take a number of soil samples from different areas of the plot you wish to analyse.
Mix the samples together and fill the sample bag at least halfway.
Post the sample back to the laboratory using the supplied envelope.
Results are typically available within approximately 10 working days of the laboratory receiving your sample.
Your results will be reviewed by our technical team, who will provide tailored recommendations based on your analysis.
Important: Please include the white A5 information sheet with your soil sample. The invoice is for your records only. Unfortunately, samples received without the white A5 sheet cannot be processed by the laboratory.
Different vegetables have different nutrient requirements, which is why crop-specific soil testing UK can provide a significant advantage over general soil analysis. If you require testing for a crop or situation not listed on our website, please contact us. We offer a wide range of additional analyses and may be able to provide a tailored solution to meet your requirements.
Elements analysed are:
- Phosphate
- Potassium

The soil pH and cation exchange capacity are also indicated. Information on virtually all plants and crops requirements is held in the database and can be compared with healthy levels.
