Thistlex Pro Grassland Herbicide

A new-generation selective herbicide for use on established grassland. Thistlex Pro provides rapid, effective control of creeping and spear thistles, while also delivering excellent activity against a range of common broad-leaved weeds including buttercups, dandelions, cow parsley and hogweed.

Thistlex Pro is a post-emergence herbicide containing clopyralid and halauxifen-methyl, providing reliable control of both perennial and annual broad-leaved weeds in grassland situations. Its fast-acting formulation offers excellent thistle control while helping to maintain productive, weed-free grazing and forage ground. Available in a 5-litre pack, each container treats approximately 3 hectares.

Active Ingredient: 120 g/litre clopyralid and 5 g/litre halauxifen-methyl (Arylex™) (HRAC Group 4 Herbicides)

1.67L/ha in 200–400L/ha of water.

  • Apply to healthy, actively growing weeds for the best results.
  • Treat thistles when they are actively growing and approximately 150–300mm in diameter.
  • Where thistles have reached the flowering stage, top or cut first and spray regrowth once it reaches 150–300mm to achieve the best root kill.
  • Suitable for use on established grassland over 12 months old.
  • Apply between 1st March and 31st July, following label recommendations.
  • Must be applied using approved 3-star drift reduction technology.

After applying Thistlex Pro – Selective Weed Killer Targeting Thistles in Grassland, avoid disturbing the treated area to allow the product to work effectively. Monitor the site over the next few weeks and only re‑treat if fresh growth appears. Rinse application equipment thoroughly with a suitable tank cleaner and dispose of washings safely on treated ground. Keep pets and people away from the area until foliage has dried.
