For the control of a wide range of deep-rooted perennial weeds, alternative to Tordon 22k

Loram 24 is a persistent systemic selective herbicide for the control of a wide range of deep-rooted perennial and other weeds on land that is not intended for cropping, roadsides, grassland (with no agricultural value) as well as road and railway embankments. The material is absorbed via leaves and roots and translocated to the growing points. It is sensible not to apply the material close to the bases of desirable trees and shrubs that are present on the site to be treated.

One well timed application can give season long control of problem broad leaved weeds. Loram 24 herbicide has minimal effect on the growth of grasses and the application rates are as follows:

Weed Species and Application Rate (litres per hectare)

  • Creeping Thistle, Hogweed, Plantains, White Clover - 2.8ltr/ha
  • Burdock, Cats Ear, Common Birds Foot Trefoil, Common Chickweed, Common Nettle, Colts Foot, Cotton Thistle, Creeping Cinquefoil, Creeping Buttercup, Dandelion, Docks, Field Bindweed, Hawkweed, Japanese Knotweed, Mugwort, Rosebay Willowherb, Silverweed, Tansy, Yarrow,       4.2 - 5.6ltr/ha
  • Common Ragwort, Wild Mignonette - 8.4ltr/ha
  • Bracken, Brambles - 11.2ltr/ha

Time of Application
In industrial areas apply in late winter or early spring. An application at this timing will prevent the growth of the majority of broad-leaved weeds for the entire season.
In grass areas, application can be made to coincide with periods of rapid vegetative growth.
Where bracken is present, it should be treated 2-4 weeks prior to fron emergence.

Suggested Areas of Use
Industrial sites, motorway and road embankments and on railway areas covered by ballast. Additionally it may be used to treat problem weeds such as Japanese Knotweed and Ragwort on grassed areas where a total weedkiller such as Glyphosate would kill everything.
