Fungicides

A fungicide is used to control fungi that grows parasitically on plants causing disease. Most fungicides act as a protectant and are often highly targeted to certain diseases with these being known as disease specific. The other type of fungicide is a broad spectrum fungicide – which as it sounds will control more than one fungal disease.  Few fungicides can totally cure a problem but many can be used to reduce a fungal disease if it is present.
