ProGreen offers a wide range of pesticides courses. Pesticides can be potentially harmful if used or stored incorrectly therefore correct qualifications are needed to apply products to a specific area. Our courses involve a balance mix of theory and practical work. Pesticides can be applied using a wide variety of methods and equipment including:

All our courses require you to have your PA1 handling and application of pesticide certificate before any other PA training can be undertaken.

Q. Do I need a qualification to spray weeds?

A. Yes you need the correct pesticide certificate for handling specific equipment used for when spraying weeds.

Q. How long does each of these courses take?

A. Typically each pesticide course takes one day with the assessment taken on a subsequent day. Your PA1 module can be completed in your own time and pace online. Please click here to purchase your PA1 course.

Q. What will I need for my training?

A. Each candidate is required to supply their own PPE (personal protective equipment) which needs to include:

- Chemical Resistant Nitrile rubber gloves (0.5mm thick, 300 mm minimum long)

- Wellies

- Face shield

We will be In contact with specific equipment needed for each individual module. We sell Safety clothing bundles which provide you with the correct gloves, coveralls, face shield and mask.
