A. Ordinary grass seed will not germinate in cold temperatures as it requires soil temperatures of 8-12°C and over to thrive. Our Cold Start Grass Seed is different, it can germinate in soil temperatures as low as 5°C

Q. How cold is too cold for new grass seed?

A. Our cold start grass seeds require soil temperatures to be at least 5°C so any lower than this would be too cold to sow the new grass seed.
